On sports? I have. Ive won a small amount money. Ive betted on horses and soccer.
Never on sports. I buy lottery tickets occasionally but never won anything. I think betting is just a waste of money, but I still do it.

Its addictive. I have a friend who has a gambling addiction. The only winners are the bookies anyway, so I have always stayed away from that stuff. Luckily hes pretty much recovered now, he deals shares, but he doesn’t really gamble anymore.

I started with $50. Went up to $1300. And then down to 0
It was a betting of passion though
Bet $50 UConn would beat Villanova in the second round of the NCAA tournament. Went up to $200 due to odds. Then I kept on betting on underdog UConn. They won it all. I bet on nets to beat the raptors in the playoffs. Cha Ching. So my manic stupid careless ass tries to withdraw they say no due to verification issues. Im like f it. I bet the $1300 on nets in game 2. They lose.
And so do I my $1300
This was a good financial period in my life. I was working and living at home with my parents. So it wasn’t like I went broke. It was a good lesson that only really cost me $50 in the end. I haven’t gambled really since.

I’ve bet on greyhounds at the track before. It’s closed now. I also play mega millions and powerball occasionally.

PokerStars. Last time I played there was a very addictive type of game called Zoom…
For normal cash poker it was better 10 years ago? I don´t remember exaclty. People played worse.

there is a horse track right across the river in kentucky. about 25 miles from here. i’ve bet on the ponies there before, but not alot. had a beer and made a wager.
i used to work with this guy who was hardcore into horse racing and claimed he made money betting on horses. but i don’t know if i believe him, he was kinda a mess of a guy, always getting angry. he spent all his off time, at the horse track.
sports books have opened up at the casino here in my state for 2 or 3 years now. but i have yet to place a bet. usually the only reason i go to the casino is to get food, or i’ve worked there in the past. if you work there, you are not allowed to gamble, but there are other casinos close by you can go to.

Sure. Games like Texas Hold’em and Blackjack I’ll bet chips and stuff. I don’t do it often but if I am on a family outing to the casino I’ll play a few hands. All in good fun.

I bet on horse races. Harness races.
Some people in our community have serious issues with gambling and it’s like topics like religion or drugs. Encouraging such things isn’t good for the community as we’ve seen.
