I don’t think this has happened to me in an overall way but I think Latuda makes my thought insertion worse (although on Latuda it’s hard to believe anyone is putting thoughts in my head so I just call the thoughts “junk thoughts”).
Yes, seroquel actually made me worse than if I had been off meds.
I wasn’t “on” a AP that made psychosis worse. But when I stopped risperdal my psychosis really got bad.
For me it was Amilsulpride and Abilify. I relapsed on both and overdosed on Amilsulpride too. That was before the nursing service came to me.
Yeah, Abilify increased the voices, and I hallucinated music for the first and only time. Got off that shizz real quick.
I don’t think Abilify is considered an AP anymore. When I was on the drug it did some good things for me, but in the end it got me a little too jittery. They had to take me off it.
Invega made me completely loony toons. I was mostly okay off meds, just a few issues but managing. Got on invega and went off the deep end.
I was on a combination of clozapine and haldol and my negative symptoms where so bad I couldn’t do anything.
No, some AP’s didn’t work but none of them made it worse. I’m on Latuda and it’s a wonder drug. Low dose and complete remission of my psychosis (Hallucinations and Delusions). No side effects either.
I’ve gotten a little impulsive on a lot of the aps that I have tried. I will still blurt things out once in a while. I’m not sure if it is the aps or the schizophrenia causing this. They haven’t made the positive symptoms worse though.
Yes, Abilify. 15151515
Geodon made me kind of psychotic and I remember being on abilify and being psychotic but This was both after a hospitalization it always takes me a long time to get unpsychotic. I was on abilify a different time a few years later and was fine. I respond well to antipsychotics usually.
Invega Sustenna gave me a powerful urge to amputate myself. Lasted several months after stopping the shot then finally went away for good.
Abilify and Vraylar both partial dopamine agonists made me psychotic.
Vraylar put me in the psych hospital.
I’m so glad you didn’t listen to that urge.
yup, been there done that.
