Does anyone feel that an antipsychotic medication has worsened their schizophrenia symptoms? Since I was given risperidone I think my baseline symptoms of psychosis may have sometimes been worse while on invega than the amount of symptoms that I had without medications. I might have asked this a while back already.
Sometimes antipsychotics make things worse.
Abilify did me no favors.
Some ingredient in Seroquel affects me severely. It seems like the most potent medicine I’ve taken. I hallucinated on it, I believe the medicine caused it. And drugs that cause you to sleep too much cause psychosis: the mind goes out of control not being used, drugged up in a medicated sleep.
Do you walk a lot?
I was walking a lot while on risperidone when I joined the forum. I switched to jogging on my current med. I still go for a walk once in a while.
Yeah I hallucinated on Seroquel also.
Invega sustenna gave me anxiety and Panic attack
Seroquel sucked for me too.
Abilify made my symptoms worse. Tried for a year or so but just never did anything near what zyprexa does. Went back to zyprexa.
No. Never. It’s either been a case of the med not doing enough heavy lifting or the side-effects being so unbearable that I was looking to take a long walk off a short pier. I’m talking about over a quarter century here.
Risperdone worsened my positives in the 90 teen. I’ve been on a mix of 3 antipsychotics the last 10 years that made me manic, aggressive and fat and affected my sleep pattern to the worse. Now I’m on the 1 generation neuroleptics Clopixol only. The result after one month on Clopixol.
They made my symptoms worse thats how they trapped me into taking them for the last 6 years. Now my health is shite
From my experience a holistic approach has to be adopted. I cant depend only on medication. I had to find a med and dosage that worked for me. I had to give up working. I have to be more active. I have to eat better.
Yes, Latuda did when I was younger.
Abilify worsened my psychosis so much that my pdoc had to discontinue it.
