Two times I was involuntarily hospitalised.
It is funny how it is written in nations’ laws that by only court order a person can be involuntarily hospitalized. But people, police officers and doctors don’t care, so they jump over the system
Back in 2008, Mother petitioned a court to have me involuntary committed to the State Hospital. I surrendered and told my Public Defender I would go. The court then ordered me to go.
I was involuntarily hospitalized three times. Each time from Piracetam overdoses.
I was so out of it the first two times I didn’t realize Piracetam was making me ill.
I have never been court ordered but was in the military when I got sick and they locked me up three times against my will. The fourth time I got hospitalized was the worst I ever was and the military hospital was full so they made me sign to go in volunteering for 10 days or ther said a judge would commit me for 30.
It took me 12 hours in the ER before I would sign the paper though
I was told I had to go whether I wanted to or not, and I didn’t want to go to court to fight it so once I got to the hospital I signed saying I was voluntary ( on many occasions).
9 times I was 51-50 all suicide attempts
My mom had me taken in a few times, the last one felt like a betrayal because I got no warning and didn’t know I was acting strangely. That one happened in 2017 I think. Haven’t been hospitalized again since.
Well, I’ve been hospitalized about 10 times and never volunteered for most of them, lol. When I first got sick at 19 my parents took care of finding me hospitals and group homes to go into. I never could have done it myself at that point. When they found places for me I just went along with the program and did what they said.
6 years later when I relapsed I did everything myself and checked
myself into hospitals.
I don’t think any of my hospitalizations have been voluntary
i have been involuntary hospitalized many times. how many i can’t remember because of the ECT
