My mom says she doesn’t cook anymore. So we don’t get turkey feast tomorrow. My sister is cooking for our family on friday (mexican food). I begged my sister to bring me and Angela a plate from her thanksgiving meal she has tomorrow with her in laws and she said she would, thank God…!! I am on day 15 not smoking and I am still excited. what are you doing on turkey day?

My mother died nine years ago on Thanksgiving. The year after I went to my family dinner. With my brothers and sisters and there families. To many people too enclosed.
So me and Yosemite made are own Thanksgiving tradition.
We go out to a restaurant. Yosemite wait in the car. He can’t go on a hike with a full stomach. Then we go to Taum Sauk state park. Where we hike down to Minna Sauk falls. It is a rocky trail and down hill all the way. Than up hill back to the parking spot. It is a loop trail.
Last year we did not go, because Yosemite had a bad cut on his paw. Next year we will have to see. Both Yosemite and I are getting old.

I’ve heard people have gotten hurt with exploding cooking oil and fire, trying to cook turkey the wrong way…
I’d join the army first…
it’s the opposite for me. my mom’s cooking without anyone even telling her to do it. my brother and i already can buy our own food and none of us wanted a Thanksgiving dinner (I even forgot about Thnksgiving which sucks because now my Thanksgiving poem is going to be late!) It’s only going to be my mother, my brother, and I sitting around a table…
at least it won’t be too many people or too enclosing though, least I’d have to wait in a bedroom until the feast was done.

Happy Thanksgiving, @jukebox! I hope you get the traditional stuff today! I would miss it too. I’m going to my in-laws. My mother-in-law is a great cook and makes the best stuffing I’ve ever had!
I’m cooking my sweet potato casserole and bringing it… It’s pure sugar/delicious!
