Was wondering if anyone tried Vraylar? And how did it work?

I was on Vraylar. It only worked well for me one day. It can help with negative symptoms as well as the positive ones. I ended up with severe akathisia and more psychotic and was hospitalized.

I was on Vraylar for a short period of time and it drove me insane.
I became completely psychotic and was involuntarily committed twice.
It didn’t work for me but it just might work for you.
Vraylar is a weak antipsychotic that is more meant to be used to treat bipolar mania. I had tried two antipsychotics tha failed (abilify and zyprexa), so my pdoc put me on vraylar as my AP because he wanted to see if my psychosis was due to mania. It wasn’t. He pulled me off of vraylar as I wasn’t improving, and instead put me on rexulti. That ended up putting me in the hospital for the first time in 5 years.
My pdoc really wants me on this when it becomes available. But I always get bad akathisia from most meds. She says it will be able to replace both AP and Anti-depressant. I always take it with a grain of salt. It’s like she gets excited for the next big thing.
Did this cause akathisia for people who take it?
It caused severe akathisia for me.
