I got injected 1 time with 100 mg due to weed induced psychoses in 28 November and since then lost my erections. It’s been more than 60 days and even Cialis didin’t resolve my problem. All my blood work is ok so I assume is from the med that is still in me. Anyone got their erecting back after stopping or switching medications ? This is making me very suicidal. Please help, im am 18 years old I’m hopeless. I can’t stand this s anymore

My sexual function has recovered from the Clopxiol injection I used to get, which is an antipsychotic. But it took a very long time to recover from the injection. Easily over a year. I was on the injection for a long time though.

The whole of my sexual functioning was negatively affected by the injection, including erections.

I had erectile dysfunction with risperidone and now on haldol, abilify and zyprexa I have dysfunction again. I watch porn and nothing happens
I came off the 75mg monthly invega injection last year June and was put on the pills. The thing is that i’m now on 3mg pills and I still have not fully recovered my erections. Maybe because I’m still on the pill.
erections aren’t a problem. I wake up with morning wood everyday. caused by the Invega. and I can get it up sometimes but I have no sex drive and sometimes don’t ejaculate.
I need to recover my erections. I mean, I was only injected once with the invega, if I don’t it’s pretty ■■■■■■ up. But I probably will, right?

Did you switch antipsychotics or stopped the treatment?
I switched to Seroquel. 400mg in the night.
My ability to masterdate came back after I quit invega and switched to abilify mantenna(injection form)
Keep in mind this is from a girl’s perspective, but… I have the same issues (not with erections, but you get the idea). I’m not on injections, just pills. It’s awful, because I’m married, and as a girl, I feel like I’m expected to do stuff anyways. He doesn’t pressure me- he just doesn’t know.

If you had cannabis induced psychosis you don’t need to be on medication for life. I was on invega for 9 months and it gave me erectile dysfunction. It does this by blocking dopamine receptors in the brain. As a result the hormone prolactin increases and this suppresses testosterone. You should get a blood test to see if you have low testosterone (you probably do). The cannabis either caused your psychosis or triggered underlying schizophrenia. If you don’t touch drugs again, you can probably come off medication. Do you have any symptoms of schizophrenia? Any delusions? I quit invega on the 18th of Jan as I have absolutely no schizophrenia symptoms. Good luck bro and let me know if you quit your meds.
Edit just noticed you said you were injected only one time. It may take a while for your testosterone levels to return to normal. You should defo get a blood test to check your serum testosterone, prolactin, and free testosterone.
Also after 2 weeks off invega my erections are already stronger and I produce more semen again. I’ll probably need testosterone replacement therapy until my natural testosterone returns back to normal. I currently have low libido and could easily go months with masturbating.
What about erections and libido and risperdal injections? Has anyone recovered after stopping them? How long did it take? Is there any science into these issues?
