So I’m hearing an exaggerated shifting sound when I make large movements with my eyes from right to left/other way around.
I think its rather neat that, a physical sensation is causing a hallucination of an auditory shifting sound.
I’m glad I can pinpoint it to an associated movement because before I figured it out it was this weird sort of …wtf is that? Now I know its associated with eye movement.
Either way its absolutely bizarre what these stupid malfunctioning brains can toss at us.
Kind of related, I think, is sometimes when a muted video is playing, my brain fills in words based on their mouth movements and I can hear it in my ear. It’s really strange.
ooo do you get the one where you think a family member has turned on the T.V. but you go in and find out that you were hearing fake T.V. noises and the T.V. was already off?
This is such a cool little bit of neurological gap filling isn’t it?
I’ve only had that happen a couple of times that I can recall. It hasn’t happened since last year, I don’t think.
I’ll admit it is kinda cool that our brains can do that stuff subconsciously. Like how does it process that information so quickly?
