Has anyone ever told you that they can see it in your eyes when you're having an episode

it’s like fire.

I can see it myself. I look ‘absent’ in the mirror or I have an angry frown.

mine can be a couple of hours,

I’ve had the look for a couple of years. It’s over now. That’s one way I can tell I’m doing better now.

it is kinda like anger,
but not just getting angry,

its all encompassing.

You know I had a nutritionist look at my eyes and tell me I was diabetic she says most normal people you can tell deficiencies in their eyes I asked the doctor one time can you tell if someone has schizophrenia by their eye pupils he replied yes if they’re on medication their eyes will twitch

yeah, interesting. I don’t get vision covered on insurance.

Fiancée and mother can spot it in a single glance. Buddy mojo used to be able to as well.

They all say my eyes do weird things. My stare, my eye lids, thousand yard gaze.

My pupils dilate when in psychosis probably because of the adrenaline and paranoia. I look hyper, grandiose/arrogant and angry.

I don’t know about my eyes, but when I’m sick I actually smell different…I don’t know if it’s the constant adrenaline I feel when I relapse or what, but it’s almost like psychosis pheromones.

huh, I don’t think I’ve been aware of that.

can other people smell it, or is it olfactory of some sort?

make a new thread…daze

I hate my eyes. They betray my every thought. And they look too mortal, like I lost my soul.

Yes my sister says I look coked up when I am psychotic.

My wife can tell after a certain point, usually when my cheese is not only off my cracker, but making a run for the door. The downside of being high-functioning is that I’m also high-functioning at masking symptoms of my illness when I want to, until my function degrades to the point where I can’t.

When I first got ill in my teens, I overheard my mom telling her friend that the look in my eyes is “not of God”

This happened to me too… I felt like I smelled like death… the voices said I was rotting and marked for death. There was also a metallic taste one time.

Yeah I was told my eyes went from light blue to very dark blue and large pupils.

Probably adrenaline from psychosis

I can hear it when others have episodes. They mumble to themselves when they are “quiet” and talk crazy when they are not. Sometimes these days I hear myself speak out loud when I am having an episode.
