Has anyone ever had liver problems?

I’m kind of concerned because I have some signs. I may have to call my dr.

Do you have jaundice?
Stomach pains?
Swelling of the legs?

I’ve had some bad readings in bloodwork. I have drank a lot in the past. Still. Get some blood work done quick as you can. If it’s not too bad then Milk Thistle is a good thing for liver. Not cheap but there’s some reason behind it. First things first. Get some results from your regular doctor.

Yea it is defo something to go to the doctors for. You don’t want it to get worst.

I’ve had fatty liver in the past. When I was anorexic in hospital they wouldn’t let me out until I gained a certain amount of weight. So I actually ate tonnes in a fortnight, and since my body had not seen food for so long, it grabbed onto all the fat like there’s no tomorrow.

Clay colored stool. Tenderness in upper abdomen. Slight swelling in ankles. No jaundice or fever.

That’s a good sign

I nearly lost my liver from Tylenol overdose. Drs said if I came late to the emergency I would have needed a liver transplant. I still have liver pain sometimes especially when eating dairy and high fat food.

This is just a wild suggestion, but consider N-Acetylcystiene if your liver counts are off. That is what hospitals use to reverse liver damage in tylenol overdoses.

And this is some info on how it works for non-tylenol-based liver damage:

Good luck whatever you decide.

Heard about it long time ago, I ordered Doctors Best NAC, @pr21 recommended it for negative symptoms with sarcosine.

Awesome! But be sure you have liver issues first, you may be getting ahead of things.

It’s slightly bad, it downregulates the Nrf2 gene, but if you have liver damage the benefits outweigh that. So don’t take it if you don’t absolutely need it.

NAC with cofactors very beneficial for improving metabolism, thyroid activity etc. It have mental effects too. When I take NAC regularly I find lowering cholesterol numbers (LDL) and also thyroid stimulating hormone TSH reducing.

I find the nrf2 downregulation a dealbreaker. That’s a big part of how your body heals oxidative stress. But it is a liver healer also.

Don’t want to be dependent on it, but it is good for an emergency.

My liver enzymes are high. My dr lowered some meds and took me off others. The problem is that I take 18 meds a day and it’s messing up my liver.

I have always had high liver enzymes since I was 17 y.o. Drs don’t know why. They did an ultrasound scan and said I have fatty liver disease but they still don’t know why liver enzymes are high.

Did you have high sugar content in your diet? This can include cola, sugary foods etc. High sugar content is linked to non alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Excess sugar is converted to fats.
