The woman who gives my Mom a shower is of Mexican heritage and she told us that Cinco de Mayo is an American Holiday.
They donât celebrate it in Mexico.
I was surprised!
Kind of like how st. Patrickâs day is a somber church ceremony in Ireland.
Funny you mentioned this, thatâs what she said!
I am Jewish Mexican, and I can attest to this. We donât celebrate this holiday. Itâs purely American.
My favorite language is Russian, Russian.
English is my LEAST FAVORITE language, less than Hebrew.
Do you how to write in Russian?
Yes @see121 , I read and write in Russian and of course speak.
I forgot that. We have a large population of Latinos and Latinaâs here in California. You think I would remember that.
Happy Cinco De Mayo roommate-who pisses-me-off.
Thatâs incredible sounds fun
Happy 3rd of Friday to you too.
I donât know anything about Cinco de Mayo can anyone tell me whatâs it about??
Cinco de Mayo is an annual celebration held on May 5. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Armyâs unlikely victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza
NOT to be mistaken for Mexican Independence day, which falls on September 16th.
Thank you @TomCat.

Well I am going to go and have my Mexican dinner now.
