They made me feel awful. If I wanted to take something to make me sick in order to no eat I would just eat rotten fish. Its much less expensive.
A family member of mine takes monjouro for diabetes. I wouldnt take it for weight loss. It helps her lose a ton of weight but as soon as insurance messes up or shes just out she regains so fast
I was only sick for the first few weeks. What I found was making it worse was eating a lot of meat. You get more stomach upset on the GLP-1 meds if you’re a devout meat eater.
I’m off of the med in two more months no matter what. They are only prescribed for obese people and I’m now in the middle of the overweight range, going by BMI. I no longer qualify. I have put a lot of effort into shaping healthier habits and training my appetite downward. Fingers crossed I can maintain. I did lose the first half of the 170 lbs on my own, so there’s hope I feel.
I also don’t have to be hungry all the time. I now have a wide array of things I can eat a lot of that are low calorie and won’t tip the scale back if I remember to stick to the new dietary plan.
I’ve recently gained over 30 pounds on Mounjaro but I’ll continue using it for my diabetes (prediabetes) and it’s also helping me with lowering triglycerides and cholesterol
