well for a couple months i had a job at a levi strauss warehouse, packing. anyways they were the ultimate perfectionists. i showed up on work every time and never clocked in late. they would audit and quality control everything i did since i was new. like 5 times a day they would call my name over this loud intercom and tell me i had done something wrong. 99% of the time it was because i had folded something the wrong way and it drove me nuts, and was totally embarrasing to have my name called and for everybody to know i f’d up. i was just like it’s folded neatly, and it’s shipped out to the right location and i used the appropriate the box size, what’s the big deal? anyways after a couple months they kept letting me go early, surely it didn’t help that the manager was hearing my name called over the intercom 5 times a day. and i was forced to quit because i wasn’t getting enough hours to support myself and look for work elsewhere. it was the perfect friday saturday sunday schedule too that allowed me to go to school at the same time, so i was a little bummed to have to quit but also relieved to be done with that freaking place. an inappropriate fold? give me a break.

they would announce your name over the intercom and then you had to use the phone for them to tell you what you had done wrong. it was like i was the quarterback and had thrown another interception and now had to talk to the offensive coordinator upstairs haha.
