Thanks everyone. Still just waiting for the doctor to come in. They took her back and gave her some pain meds.
Shes a stoic girl, not showing a bit of distress. Car ride over she just wanted to kiss my hand holding her.
They’re removing the eye.
So now she’ll be deaf and half blind.
She’s stable, doped up, and they said it can be caused by a fall.
I’ll be able to pick her up tonight.
I’m so sorry she’s losing her eye. Do you live with anyone? Could they have choked her?
Oh my no, no other dog or person would harm her in our house.
What was odd was this morning she was on the floor, normally she wakes me up to go potty by touching my shoulder.
Ok. Phew! I’m so glad.
I’m so sorry about your doggy. She sounds strong, though. Already deaf and now half blind! But still getting through it. Poor doggy.
But she’s lucky to have you. I hope she has a quick recovery from the surgery! I hope she’ll be back to normal in no time, considering that one eye will be gone.
