I wasn’t sure at first if I should put this in the diag/other forum or here, opted for here.
I put the puppy and my other three dogs outside into the short fenced yard, my older dogs can jump the fence but don’t.
I let them out, went back inside to prep their evening meal…and the screaming started. not barking, not howling, not yelping, screaming. I got outside and my idiot, POS, screaming retard of a neighbors coon hound had my puppy by the head. He dropped her when my rescue lab shep pit mix went after him.
Little puppy has a 50/50 chance of living through the night, but will likely lose her left eye, and possibly her right as well.
Hope, my Rescue dog…does not have as much of a chance. My vet is out of state, no other vet will take my dogs without charging a huge fee for an emergency visit. My vet will be back in the morning. if they make it, both dogs will go to her at 8 AM.
Hope looks like she went through a wood chipper. I stopped the bleeding. Even if she lives, she will be missing the right side of her face, including the eye, and her front right leg is badly broken.
My neighbors dog…looks exactly like it should, as if someone beat it to death with a shovel. Because that is exactly what happened. I am not proud of the way I lost control, I feel bad for beating the dog, but he refused to let go of Hope’s leg.
My neighbor has already called the cops on me for killing his dog. /I countered with showing the responding officers my two dogs. The younger cop had to leave the house and sit on the front porch. The hound is being taken to a lab for rabies testing.
Normally, if I was well medicated, I would be having a hard time anyway, because this is terrible. But I flushed my meds a week ago, during a paranoid delusion that they were brainwashing me, and my insurance wont pay for more for another week.
So unmedicated, plus all this crap, makes for a very unstable, very dangerous person. My neighbor already called me to say he was going to come take of it personally. I have no idea what ‘it’ is, but I called the cops.
For some back ground info, this coon hound has been reported for killing chickens, cats, and sheep in the area. But the owner kept insisting it wasn’t his dog. Well now we have proof, at a terrible cost.
please keep the little one in your prayers, and Hope too. Hope may very well have sacrificed herself. If she makes she wil get a sirloin steak every night for dinner for the rest of her life. If she doesn’t…I have a very special place for her remains.
Curses placed on my neighbor are also welcome.
