Thanks all! I feel really good right now. I hope you all are doing well. I’m just chilling watching YouTube videos (but nothing that will trigger my delusions).

Good job! Do you hear anything voice-like when listening to some white noise such as a fan though? That final mumble is the hardest to get rid of.

Great news, @Sardonic !

I hear that sometimes yes. Usually it’s just mumbles, so it might just be tinnitus.

I guess we just have to live with it.

Lots of neurotypical people hear that as well. It’s just a the brain misinterpreting signals. It happens when you’re subjected to a constant, monotonous sound for a length of time. Hang on, I’ll drudge up some science stuff about it. But basically, it’s similar to how people sometimes feel their phone vibrate or hear a doorbell ring when those things haven’t happened.

My symptom-free day is ruined; a voice just called me a coward. Another voice just said something and I can’t remember what it was. I hate that.

It’s called auditory pareidolia and is not uncommon, even for neurotypicals.

Thanks, good to know. I didn’t have it pre-meltdown though. Oh well.
