Groundbreaking study finds origins of anorexia

I wish I had enough energy to be anorexic. Might lose the AP weight.

It’s a potentially fatal condition.

I had anorexia when I was younger. It is a very, very painful illness.

That’s not funny. Anorexia is a serious mental illness with a 20% mortality rate. Do you really think those people who weigh 80lbs have “enough energy” for anything. They push themselves because their brains are misfiring. That’s the only reason that they’re able to push past the pain. That’s the only reason they feel it’s even necessary to push past the pain. There’s nothing positive that ever comes out of anorexia.

I don’t think anorexia is a disease. Its a behavior. Maybe theirs genetic things which predispose people to disordered eating instead of other things but its a behavior, an addiction, at the end of a day.

People with eating disorders often go back and forth between extremes (starvation all day then binge a donut covered in nutella or something). IMO its like cutting in some respects that people abuse their bodies by starvation or by overeating. Sometimes people are overeating, try dieting, then resort to starvation because they can’t find a balance. Balance is the key.

I didn’t mean any disrespect to those who have Anorexia. I am just saying due to APs I can’t exercise. My heart rate is too fast lying down. If I try to do cardio it goes through the roof.

Maybe they ought to take APs. My first girlfriend was hospitalized for bulemia. I don’t know how to spell it but it’s a similar thing. I am not going to be bulemic or anorexic but it would be nice if I could still run a couple miles a day.
