Grouchy jerk

Grouchy is the best way to describe my father in law. His wife wanted to buy a electric fireplace and he made a big deal about that then they got it and he won’t let anyone turn the heat on.

I asked my mother in law if I can get a small heater she said yes but don’t tell my father in law about it.my money pays the electric so it’s not him.

It’s just bothering me it’s cold in the apartment. I have to sleep under four blankets.

Electric heaters really burn through electricity and $$$$. So make sure you watch that. If you have one with a thermostat it might not be so bad, as it won’t be on all the time.

I have one, keep the heat turned down and just heat the room I’m in, keep it far away from anything that can start on fire, Guy I know from work lost his daughter when she was trapped in a basement fire, her heater was to close to the couch and started a fire, the landlord had the windows barred. Very sad really.

I have had heaters in the past and I’m only going to use it to heat the living room and it has a thermostat. I ordered one online. My in-laws might be mad but technically I pay the electric bill.

Dude you HAVE to learn to get along with your in laws. They’re going to be around you for a long time till they die pretty much just learn how to navigate that situation. Do you live in the living room?

Tell that grumpy old man to turn the thermostat to 69 during the day and down to 60 at night that’s humane.

No we live in a separate part of the house. An apartment. I get along with them sometimes others they treat me like crap.

Is he some Korean war vet or something?

Well shed a beer with him maybe over the holidays and give him a stocking full of coal and when he opens it say, (now you can finally heat the fucking house!).

i got a smart meter fitted recently and its really cool, i tells you how much electric and gas i use and how much it costs, it says i spent 85p today on gas and leccy which is pretty high but the heatings been on all day, my boiler is set to eco mode as well so hopefully that helps, also over here in Britain i qualified for a warm homes discount bc of my disability (saves about £150) and its for throughout winter when i use more, maybe you could get something like that.

I still say get that dick some coal and put him in the the car park.

Then play this for the good boys and girls…

its easy to complain about it, i dont even like using an electric fire its so expensive, i had one once when i was in the homeless flat but i was scared to have it on all the time incase i couldn’t afford the bill

It’s hard dealing with control freaks, and they don’t listen. I’m sorry. :disappointed:

Get kerosene like we did after our landlord promised forced air heat and didn’t deliver. We got a huge kerosene heater and it left soot but all we wanted was to get warm. It’s just how it goes when you’re living in the ghetto of northern illinois you know? There was recently a murder in my old neighborhood too. It could have been me, it could have been my girlfriend. It just goes to show you that things can go wrong really quick in the wrong neighborhood with the wrong gear or car…it’s a sham and a shame that we drill into our african american friends about having the best car and being a gangster. It’s shameful, at least with the blues there was sex appeal and devils heart pouring…none of that is going on now in rap. It’s all ignorance and ignorant chanting, and whoever is a rhyme intellectual is branded a faggot and cast out of the record deal. It’s deeper than you think and it’s a horrible way to approach life.

we had one in the garage when i was young at my dads work, it was called a salamander or something and i remember the soot around the nose and ■■■■,

heres a thought… my sister has a little gas fire and she can get bottles from the petrol station, once you buy a bottle you can exchange it when it runs out.

THat’s the address to a good kerosene heater with a discount from America SEARS. It’s worth it cause it has a heat cage on it so it won’t start a fire.

Find kerosene at petrol stations in the USA. You can get kerosene at gas stations in america just call them up and get a kerosene approved container. Or get a cast iron wood burning stove…also anything burning stove…with a chmney going through the roof I’ve been there I’ve seen the cold farm fields windy as hell and drafting through the house I’m renting it drove me mad knowing it…all that diesel fuel just to power our furnace with tanks in the basement…and when it ran out we slept in the living room where there was a cast iron stove heater to use the wood that was left over by the old tenants…almost a cord.
