I hope you get the med. I can’t even get 0.5mg of Clonazepam. But don’t worry I think you’ll get it . I hate anxiety. Hugs

I don’t know. If they’re unwilling, you could ask for either Visteril or buspar. They’re not controlled substances

Hard to say, every doctor is different. I’ve heard some doctors refuse to prescribe benzos no matter what. You’ll just have to ask and see what the doc says.

My old GP gave me 30 lorazepam/year PRN for anxiety. He stressed that I should only use them very occasionally and only when absolutely necessary, and I followed that advice. He prescribed them for me every year beginning in 2005 until he retired a few years ago.

My current pdoc has me on 1.5mg of clonazepam for Insomnia, but it is also an anxiolytic so as a “side effect” I have zero anxiety, but anxiety isn’t a huge problem for me anyways unless I drink too much coffee too quickly.

Is your anxiety a normal problem for you?

If so, I found Pregabalin very effective, and it has not lost effectiveness

That said, here in England they can prescribe a 3 week course at GP of benzos, but most I have ever got out of them is 7 days

The psychiatrist hands them out like tic tacs

I have a bag of 500x 5mg Diazepam at my mothers house!

My GP in the UK would always let me have a packet of 28 1mg Lorazepam to use prn for anxiety or panic attacks.
