I officially no longer take rexulti. It apparently is what was behind my td. So now I’m on one ap, saphris. The only problem is it’s very sedating without the rexulti to counter it in the morning. But my pdoc said I can take both doses at night so I hopefully won’t have the daytime sedation to contend with. I though that was a good solution. Hopefully it works. I’ll start tonight.
good luck leaf, hope it works out for you
Good luck, we will always need your motherly care in this forum.
Good luck. Hope it works out well for you!
awwww! What a lovely thing to say.
Good luck @Leaf!
Sounds like a good plan!
didn’t work for me, lowering the dosage to the fda recommended dose did.
what’s the fda recommended dose?
how much have you been taking?
I take 10mg twice a day
it says that’s twice what is recommended for schizophrenia. my dose was doubled too.
well after the dust settles from quitting the rexulti I will talk to my pdoc about going down to 10mgs once a day and see how I do on just that. Thanks for the heads up. I had no idea I was taking too much. I was in a bad way when they started throwing all these meds at me and I just took what they gave me without any research. Too trusting out of desperation I guess.
i checked with my doctor to make sure it was ok too. the extra energy took a month or two to arrive.
it’s not schizophrenia unmedicated like energy but it’s more energy than i had.
boy that saphris really makes you tired doesn’t it? It’s like a sleeping pill.
i am on haloperidol generic haldol. it’s cheaper too because i am buying less medication. and i have a medication reserve.
oh that’s what I was on before, that stuff works good too. I like it because it’s fast. I’ve gotten it at the ER when I’ve had problems refilling my meds and ran out and had symptoms. Haldol doesn’t make me sleepy though, not like saphris does, it’s bad.
geodon was like that for me. it was the worst i have tried. worst for fatigue anyway. some made symptoms worse.
I’ve had Geodon too, it gave me medicine head, couldn’t concentrate at all. That was back when I still worked.
