That is not bad see when i think of hobbies i just automatically think about what i could be doing to impress other people thats why the artistic things such as crochet abd knitting entertain me but i dont actually enjoy it its like i can never think about what id enjoy doing for myself. I gess this all comes down to my low self esteem its like i do things to impress. Other people and not myself
I just think i make things to hard on myself because i feel insecure and inadequate
I know exactly how you feel and you hit the nail on the head about feeling the need to impress others with hobbies rather than for personal enrichment.
I used to feel the same way. It took a while to re-train my mind about not giving a fück of what others think of me and being 39 years I care even less now.
But hobby ideas? I can share mine but that won’t help you as I used to pick hobbies bc I enjoyed reading about other people enjoying their hobbies rather than looking on the inside to truly learn and do what I wanted.

I spent too many years trying to be like other photographers. My work was inauthentic and I was unhappy. It’s important to follow your intrigue and produce art for yourself. You yourself are the audience to worry about pleasing.

My guitar and mandolin take only 50 minutes a day to do. I spend a lot of time just doing nothing. Today I’m watching an old black and white movie. I would suggest a language app on your phone or computer. Because I live near the university I get Mango for free through the library. Best thing to do is to not do too much in one day and let the law of accumulation work for you.
I love puzzles. Go bike riding. Watch a funny movie.
I enjoy writing playing guitar watching TV and movies and listening to music
I read sometimes and I watch tv .
I’m not good enough at crewchetting to want to do it at this point in time n same with knitting.
I would love to have some hobbies.
Reading and crafting. I’m going to try to take these up again. I do latch hooking as a craft. It’s super easy and affordable.
