I might have a job as a janitor under lock. They were short workers and told me to apply asap. Its for a janitorial job at a hospital and it pays 18 an hour.
Honestly im so tired of looking for something to amuse myself with every day, so this is very welcome indeed.
Is this job run by munchkins? Is there like a maximum height of 3 1/2 feet or something? I always pictured you as much taller.
But seriously, janitorial work ain’t bad. I’ve done it for the last 5 years with a bad back and suffering from fatigue and I’m 58 years old.
From hearing people on here occasionally comment when janitorial work is mentioned I think everybody’s biggest objection to it is that they don’t want to clean toilets. But cleaning toilets is a very small part of my job. And it’s actually easy and it’s not like I’m reaching in the bowl and scrubbing. For cleaning toilets, we put on gloves and we just spray the outside with a cleaner and squirt some toilet bowl cleaner on the inside, let it sit for a few minutes and then we have a long brush that we can stand and scrub with. I can go months without having to clean a bathroom at all.
The whole job is not hard labor at all. I find it very low pressure and I love that I get to work alone. I’m in an office building with people in offices and cubicles but I rarely work with the rest of the crew.
Basically we punch in the morning and our supervisor tells us what to do, like emptying wastebaskets, or vacuuming or cleaning restrooms and then we go off on our own most of the day in the building. And a lot of the time, in certain parts of the building no one is around and I can just do my job peacefully and quietly and get some daydreaming in, lol. And all the soldiers/office workers there love the janitors, lol. All in all, it ain’t bad. Anyways, good luck on getting get the job.
I used to be a janitor before aswell at a stadium. Got to see free concerts and exhibitions of all kinds while i worked. Totally agree with the toilet part. Its those waxing machines that are the hard part, the scrubber too.
