Good Morning Lovely People

Hi everyone. What you doing? Anything going on today? I hope you have a blessed day. Anyone want to talk?

This afternoon I will be taking Sherlock my future service dog to his class.

@Ridgerunner that’s fantastic! What kind of dog do you have? How does he help you?

Sherlock is a chocolate labrador retriever. He is only 7 months so he is a long way from being a service dog.
In the future I hope he will be able to distract me when I start to have a panic attack. Also he will be taught to tell me when my blood sugar is to high or low.

I want to talk. I’m not feeling the best. But I don’t think I can keep up today. I hope the rest of your day goes well.

the running commentary gets so old. It’s so tiring. I hope you can get some rest from it

I’m glad you live somewhere where they can help you train your dog such complicated behaviors. Who’s the big guy in your profile pic?

Thank you! It feels like I’m going to be hypo manic today. That’s ok, maybe I’ll get a closet organized or something. In my old age I seem to not get into as much trouble being hypo manic as I did when I was younger. I think it’s partly wisdom.

Why aren’t you feeling the best? Just one of those days?

That is Yosemite he is my Great Dane. He will be 10 on the 24th of May. That is old for a Great Dane.

@Ridgerunner can Yosemite detect your blood sugar levels? How does a dog do that? With their sense of smell?

Yeah, just one of those days. I haven’t been sleeping. Tonight I’m not able to sleep because I’m in pain and can’t get comfortable. But the night is almost over.

@LED oh I’m sorry. I don’t do pain. I can’t tolerate it at all. I just completely breakdown. What’s paining you?

A combination of fibromyalgia and erythromelalgia.

oh jeeze you have both? I had to look up erythromelalgia. That looks horrible. I know a little about fibromyalgia, enough to know it’s a lot of pain. Can you take anything that actually helps?

Yosemite is not a service dog. So no he can’t tell me if my blood sugar is low or high. Yes dogs can be train to smell it.
Yosemite is what is called a therapy dog he goes to the nursing home near me. To visit the residents.

Aspirin sometimes helps the erythromelalgia, but eating a lot of salt makes it flare and I had a lot of salt for dinner. But it’s always a battle because I have both erythromelalgia, which means I need a super low salt diet to prevent severe pain, but I also have neuricardiogenic syncope that requires a high salt diet to prevent symptoms and passing out. So it’s always a struggle to pick which is worse.

As for the fibro, gabapentin can sort of help, but I’m still barely breastfeeding so I can’t take it until I’m done. I do a lot of stretches and exercises, and it helps some, but tonight the wrinkles in my sheets feel like I’m laying on sticks. So there’s only so much that can be done.

@LED it’s terrible that you have to choose either pain or passing out. I wish you could find the perfect balance.
How old is your baby, when will you stop breastfeeding? I stopped at 7 months with both. They both started biting and I was done. Nope, wasn’t going to do that.

She’ll be 2 next month. We’re working on quitting. She’s only nursing before naptime, and only sometimes. About 75% of the time. By her birthday I want to be done. WHO recommends 2 years, so at least I’ve made it to my goal.
