Gonna take a step back from the community mental health services for a while

My depots are getting changed to monthly so won’t need to see my nurse so much. Gonna ask to not see my support worker for a while. Just fancy some time to myself. Gonna stop psychology as well since it is geared towards positive symptoms and the negatives are my problem.

Good luck, hope that works out ok for you. I do think it’s a good thing in a way, in the past I’ve felt I’ve become too dependent on input from the CMHT. It’s good to learn to deal with things by yourself, claim back some independence, as long as you know in yourself if/when you need to talk to someone on the team.

Totally @Turquoise - this is exactly how I feel. Want a bit more independence. Have their number for the duty worker so there is always someone to talk to if needed. Just want a bit of time by myself away from the cmht.

Good luck @Jimbob sounds like a good idea.
As long as it’s temporary of course

Devil’s advocate here: you’ve been cutting down on treatments, meds and otherwise, pretty rapidly lately. You seem to be doing fairly well with that, but I’m a little concerned that perhaps you’re taking on (or off) too much at once?

I just want to see you stable and content.

Not sure why a psychologist couldn’t help you with negatives. Since meds don’t help much, it seems like that’s particularly an area where CBT and the likes could help you.

Anyway, best of luck in this new path, J. :two_hearts:

i wish you good luck, i hope this step back encourages you keep getting help in your own way. i go to therapy twice a month and see my psychiatrist about every other month. i’m suppose to get a case manager too but so far i haven’t been contacted by one.
