i’ve decided to try to quit drinking as well as the cigarettes. quitting drinking will be harder for me than quitting smoking. my longest stretch without a drink since i turned 21 was 13 months. i don’t have a drinking problem, and moderate my drinking and drink responsibly when i do drink. but something about drinking prevents me from becoming a highly motivated person. i use a glass of wine to unwind or relax, or take the edge off. i need to keep my energy up and get back to the highly motivated person i was before i ever started drinking.
Good luck to you.
yea best of luck to you!
All the best with that!
Have you thought of anything to do instead of drinking?
yes fitness freak, reading, working a job, amateur herbalist.
funny thing is mom doesn’t support me with this. i told her last night my plan, i was going to stop drinking, and she told me “to enjoy a drink responsibly” she may have been a little buzzed herself, as she was drinking wine last night. it’s funny they never drank until about 10 years ago, now it makes it harder to quit when they offer me a free drink. she wanted me to stop smoking though.
Ive been dry just over 4 months now. But my god, everyday the thought of a nice cold guiness crops up in my mind.
I quit smoking, drinking and weed a long time ago.
But my crutch is still caffeine. I usually have 1 large coffee in the morning when I get up and then tea the rest of the day.
