I’m going to ask pdoc about tapering out of Seroquel 400 mg. I’m not overweight but I’ve a disproportionately big stomach compared to the rest of my body. I’ve no positives and doing better than ever. Besides of that meds I also use Clopixol and Geodon. So I would like to here your opinion. If you have one.

You need to stay on your meds.
I consider Clopixol as my main antipsychotics and have used it for 26 years and Geodon I’ve used for 19 years and Seroquel I’ve used for 10 years but I feel my psychosis has burned out so the only reason I want to skip Seroquel is that I then can get raly skinny.

I used to be on the Clopixol depot only. It helped for my positive symptoms but it really sedated me. Now I’m on Abilify.
Maybe you’ll cope fine without Seroquil. As you said you’ll take it up with your pdoc.

I had a username change because of paranoia a few months ago. I live in South Africa and always wanted to climb mount Kilimanjaro. When I did the username change, Kilimanjaro just came into my head and I decided to use it.
There is a South African band, Juluka, who sing about that mountain, hence my tagline, I’m sitting on the top
You know kilemanjaro I’ve given so many sensitive informations about myself and my life that many people in my hometown would know who I am if they red what I’ve told so therefore I don’t inform any members here what country and town I’m from.

The reason you’re doing so well is because of your current medication regimen. Why risk your sanity? Maybe see if you can switch off Seroquel for another AP. But seriously, it sounds like you need to keep up what you’re doing

Zannah you are right why risk my sanety. I can’t afford it after all I’ve got a schizophrenic mother to take care of. I must stay earth bound so that I don’t loose my grip.

10 years on ap? From the research I have read, it’s ok to try going off ap, 30% of people can do without ap after 10 years
