just got out of the hospital and the pdoc in there said my episode came from stress and binge drinking so now im going to go sober. probably going to go to some aa meetings and such

my therapist keeps nagging me to go sober
i think i need the booze to avoid my acute suffering
my therapist would probably prefer i stop drinking and kill myself, rather than continue drinking
kind of throwing out the baby with the bath water
i dont know you or how much you suffer but i dont think you need the booze. i know when i use i feel 100times better but the after effects mess me up. and it isnt good for your body
man, i don’t want to say that boozing is good, if you can give it up that is great.
my therapist always say to me the same old crap “it’s a depressant” but maybe it depresses some people, i’m fine with it. i don’t even get a hangover the next day, but saying that to my therapist is talking to a brick wall
yeh it â– â– â– â– â– up your liver, especially since anti-psychotic meds are already bad on the liver.
anyway, i know this web site is pro-recovery so i won’t say anymore. but i do think i need the booze, maybe that makes me an alcoholic i dunno.
to each their own ya know. in the end do what makes you the happiest
AA has been beneficial to me also. especially when i practice the principles of kindness to the others there
nice im 11 days sober…12 soon…counting days at a time
i made it through today and the liquor stores are closed…so 12 days sober
we can do it together!
ask your pdoc about naltrexone if you need extra help more than AA, its really helped me
the combo might just put us over the top
