My one Aunt is staying over with us, supposedly to help out around the house because my Dad had to get cataract surgery.
She is a wreck!
All she does is demand, complain and yell at me and my Dad.
Her moods are everywhere!
She keeps saying that she feels bad about my mental condition because I never amounted to anything.
I’m pretty sure she needs to see a psychiatrist like right away.

But if it’s your dad’s sister he’s probably used to her I guess.
Occasionally I’ve been quarreling with her but I like your suggestion of telling her to feck off better.
Maybe just tell her that her behavior is stressing you out. It’s possible that she’s not very self-aware.
If she’s never going to respect you and you’re never going to respect her then it’s better to do away with false pretenses and just get everything out in the open. My wife’s batshit crazy cousins never wanting to be around me again after I mortally insulted them works out just fine. Even Mrs. Squirrel is starting to admit that she can’t stand them, but she’ll visit them because she’s “obligated to.” (Not really, no.)
I gently suggested that she talk to her doctor and get her antidepressant adjusted and she blew her top!
Cussing at me then she stormed out of the house and slammed the front door!
Between my Moms condition and my Aunts nonsensical behavior I might soon be going to the psych ward!
Verbal abuse of someone with a mental illness is quite likely a crime where you live. Don’t be afraid to play the “I’ll report that” card if it will get you some breathing room.
