Going back up on Clozapine

I started losing the calming effect and was switching to agitation

Spent all my free time feeding off the conspiracy theories which started consuming my brain

Spoke to the nurse on duty and I have to go up 25mg for five days and the pharmacist from the team is going to call

Was worth a try to lower the dose, but realised it’s not possible to do so right now :persevere:

I lowered my clozapine dose from 400 mg to 200 mg and then to 25 mg. And upped my Invega.

That being said it was a very hard process with lots of insomnia.

Joker we both tried to lower or strong antipsychotics at the same time and both failed in doing so. That doesn’t make us to failures but only wiser if we’ve learned from our mistakes.

I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you. Hopefully the benefits come back quickly. :people_hugging:

I know the struggle. Done that many times myself, most recently 3 weeks ago with my Risperidone. Now I’m back on the max sz dose.

It’s still so hard for me to accept being treatment resistant and needing high doses of what I do take. I get it.

I have been there before too. I find I need a high dose of olanzapine and can’t reduce it as of now. I’m sorry you are feeling not so good. I hope that you feel better mentally very soon. Sz sucks. @Joker
