Ok so I was put on invega love love love it but ive gone up 2 cup sizes and im lactating a little bit does this go away or am i gonna have to deal with it to stay on this med ??? Help please!!

You need to go off Invega. This is called hyperprolactenemia and is when your body is producing way too much prolactin. It doesn’t go away as long as you’re on the med, and it greatly increases your risk for breast cancer the longer you have it.

I was taken off of risperidone for this reason.

You could talk to your doctor about adding a small amount of abilify. This reduces prolactin and may allow you to stay on invega. Just another option.

Adding low dose Abilify to Risperdal - reduces prolactin

For those of you that are taking Risperdal or Invega and have high levels of prolactin, adding even a low dose of Abilify to the mix, could decrease prolactin levels by significant amounts.
