Hey. So I might be seeing my dad tomorrow.
I have $10 to buy him a gift
I don’t feel lovey dovey towards him so nothing too sentimental (like a best dad mug)
Any gift ideas???

Still talking to him is a gift.
I agree.
He sounds like he has been kinda hard and cruel etc towards you.
Talking to him still is quite the gift but you could take him to a cafe and shout him a coffee.
That shouldn’t be more than $10 for two coffees.
People like food gifts. Maybe some gourmet cheese or sausage?
Boy things of change over the years. With my dad it would have been a State park permit. So he can go fishing. By today’s standards. Getting him a food card would make him mad because he knew he’d have to pay for the rest of the family. A gift card to Amazon for a new game controller. Would have been more appropriate. The gift card from the gym Would have made him mad too. When I was really young, we had to do handwritten. I owe you job certificates coupons.
Pair of nice socks
you could buy him a 10 gift card of somewhere you think he might like.
An idea for $10 is go to the dollar store and get him some tools.
Socks, cute ones. Or with a nice message on them. Can never get enough of nice socks.
I am happy with anything from my kid, even this morning’s slightly overcooked pancake. It is nice to know I did a good enough job as a parent that she still wants me in her life and didn’t disappear the moment she turned eighteen.
You could treat him to a coffee and donut and maybe get a picture of you two printed and put it in a dollar store frame
