Getting older and fine print

Wtf, is Advil only for the young? lol. Been trying to read the Advil bottle since I’m having a bit of pain today. Things like this and other instructions/directions on things are getting harder and harder to read. Honestly some of the blurriness could be do to meds, but I don’t think this accounts for all of it. Soon I will be getting headaches from trying to read the instructions/directions on a glue bottle.

You would think instructions/directions would be made for a larger portions of the population. 50% of the population probably has issues with this.

I know, I know, get some damn bifocals. I’m stubborn and stingy with my money.
Plus, I hate wearing glasses.

I worked at an optical salon for a while and can definitely say,

Bifocals can be intimidating because they’re new,

But like everyone who gets them wishes they had sooner.

Especially the newer ones.

It’s worth the money.

May want to reconsider.

I will probably considering getting them at my next diabetes/eye damage check up in six months or so. It’s only likely to get worse. My dad has to use a magnifying glass to read the phonebook so…

Thanks for the advice @Charles_Foster .

Thanks. I will probably still wait until next year, since I dont think they ever gave me my prescription info last time. I know they are supposed to, but I don’t ever remember seeing it. If they did, I have no idea where it is at this point.

Well I’ve got bifocals and still can’t read the customer service phone numbers on the back of my debit/credit cards.

I use my phone to magnify medication print and other fine print. I don’t know how normal eyes can read this stuff.

Matey. The trouble with vision is it doesn’t decline gradually. You lose it in stages which can be quite pronounced. I still hope to get back to playing cricket but it’s hard catching and stuff as I’ve aged. I can still get away with batting because the level I play the ball doesn’t move so much so it’s all memory and technique…It’s not hard to see I fail to see the ball mostly if I’m up playing a higher grade.

I need glasses for reading now at soon to be 52 and I have since mid 40’s…It’s just how your eyes age…and it’s not suprising you wake up one day and can’t read the fine print. Happens to most.

I generally have the same problems with medicine and shampoo bottles etc. Its seems that the fine print has turned into, over the years, micro print. While I know my eyes are getting older, I defy even the young who have perfect vision to be able to read most of these labels.
Its bordering on a conspiracy really.

I have to use a magnifying glass to read the fine print on things. I’m 52 now.
