Is this a good idea? not sure if I can fully take care of it, but I am lonely at home and need some support. I thought a pet would suffice… as I don’t see myself in a relationship.
Am thinking of a cat as I am afraid of dogs.

There is alot to think about when getting a cat. You have to clean their litter boxes, get them nutritious food, have an insurance. Also you have to think about if it’s going to be an indoor/outdoor cat.

In someways pets being your companion who loves you. You have someone to care for with pets. To feed them walk them. An obligation that is worth. Paid back in love.
I am a dog person. They love and will protect you. I have had a cat. An it’s a different relationship. Maybe someone can tell you more about cats.

I prefer dogs as well, but perhaps a cat is better for you are unsure if can take care of it. seems like they are more independent and need less care.

Yes! Vet bills cost a fortune. If you can’t pay then the cat will suffer. Cats can get all kinds of ailments. Diabetes, kidney problems, rheumatism, tooth decay or they might get injured.

Insurance should be considered when owning a dog but not so much with a cat.
I don’t have insurance for my current cat

My experience with puppies/young dogs is that that destructiveness/chewing on everything, tends to diminish as they get older. Most of my dogs have had that tendency when they were young.

You should get madagaskan hissing cockroaches. Get one or two in the same gender so that they don’t reproduce.
They are so much fun.

I used to have a hamster called Julia.
I think this next one I will call Jenny.
I really like that name.
Just forgot what hamsters like to eat. But I’ll have to research it all up how to care for hamsters as I can’t afford the vet
@anon,cats are great. But be careful when they get older their hair goes everywhere and sometimes they don’t know where they are pooing
