Gave away $20, then later $15 in cash to needy people today

I was at group and Tony a grandfather estranged from his wife was really worried about Christmas money for his grandkids. I offered him a twenty and he said he would pay me back some time and I said don’t worry about it. I don’t want him to worry about paying me back.

then tonight the neighbor kid came over to borrow a pair of plyers. I asked how his Christmas was going and he said he just lost his job and they have a little baby over there so I gave him the rest of my cash. $15 some will say I’m being foolish but I see it as my duty to brighten as many lives as I can with my money. I still have $250 to last me until thursday so I don’t see the problem…what do you think?

I’ve done this before also. I also don’t require to be paid back. I don’t value money and like to help others. Plus, it’s too much of a hassle to give a stranger my number to maybe contact later to get paid back. Forget it.

If it were up to me, everyone would be a millionaire.

I just like to see their faces light up. Tony really appreciated it and I know the kid next door did too. It’s good to help others in need.

I think that’s great, jukebox. People who really understand Christmas know that it is more about giving than receiving.
