When they project how much you are going to use over the next year why can’t they just divide by 12 and just charge monthly accordingly?
I have been going frantic because my monthly charge for direct debit for both has been £110.00 but earlier in the year it was £65. When I average the two it just about comes to the total/12. Why not just charge me £87-88 for each of the 12 months. It would make budgeting so much easier.
The other mystery . Electricity usage 2013-14 3718, 2014-15 3384 so down slightly but gas usage has nearly doubled 7642-14323. The only thing I can think of is I must have had the heating on a lot more 2014-15! Compared to 2013-14 I had used nearly £320 more gas(£6+ a week).
I think I will have to go careful with the heating this year!
sorry for your grief @firemonkey I have to watch our heat and electricity usage too. sucks.
I will be going careful with the heating.

Yeh, our new government is working ‘renewables’ into the mix. Translation: We’re switching to unreliable, unfeasible, and overly subsidized forms of generation (think windmills). Our bills will probably triple.
