i was wondering if anyone here knew of any games i could start playing in that if i got good enough at i could be able to travel for to play in tournaments from winning?

Magic the Gathering has torments all the time. I just watched the Grand Prix’s a couple weeks ago.

I play Magic. It’s a fun game, but it’s very expensive. If you want to game seriously at tournaments, you have to spend roughly $1,000 a month on cards
Only if you play standard. Modern is a lot more reasonable.

I play EDH. That’s even worse, because the decks are 100 cards with a legendary commander.

I actually just had a draft party tonight. Drafts are pretty cheap, too.
I made manna themed snacks.

Back in Return to Ravnica I actually won a draft at our game shop playing a ■■■■■■■ mill deck. Everyone was so pissed at me. It was brilliant.

That is amazing! Mr. Star has a blue control deck that I refuse to let him play anymore. There is no win condition. He just cancels everything and makes the game last forever.

I used to have a Krenko deck that I wasnt allowed to play. It pissed off Mr LED every time I brought it out, but it was by far my favorite deck. Goblins for daaaaaaaayyyyyyyyys.

Goblins are super useful! Are you a red player, then? I prefer red, because I’m 100% agro. I’m trying to branch out more, and learn about strategy. Mr. Star has an elf deck with an infinite manna combo that takes a lot of luck to set up, but can destroy everything. I’ve been learning green on that. I recently made a blue/red wizard deck. Have you played Domineria yet? They have a new mechanic called sagas that are pretty cool.

i have been playing uscf rated chess online at chess.com for about 2 months now. however most of the players in that club are rated pro or master/gm i think so theres no way to win the tournament althou i have beat some 1200 rated players before
here lately besides chess i have been trying to get good at mortal kombat x or tekken 7 but sometimes, since the games are new, my computer will lag and it will start skipping or being slow. we actually have a MTG card tournament in my town but ive never been yet because my roommate said its mostly just a bunch of nerdy kids that go there. im sure there are some older people but idk if i would like that setting.
i use to play magic the gathering in middle school, i dont remember ever playing in a tournament altho i might have its just its probably been 15 years since i played however i have played online since then out of remenicensing.
most of the games i have won at in the past are in the gambling world. so ive got a bit of hustle but not sure how i can apply that to my game practice…

I played a NA LOL nooby tournament a couple years ago… first tourny… first one as well… from Oceania so my ping was mega high… But ehh still proud of it… im not sure if they do it anymore though.
I honestly haven’t really played much since starting the haldol almost 4 years ago. Took everything I ever loved. I haven’t really had a hobby, aside from forums, since.
But I was sort of all over the place. I liked decide that would annoy the ■■■■ out of the other person. Infect, mill, Krenko, g/w proliferate…
Aww now I miss playing. But all my decks have been cannibalized by now. I think my krenko deck had been turned into an EDH deck, I did play that a few times last summer when all the kids were living with us. But I really don’t have it in me anymore to have a hobby. The ADHD was bad enough trying to get me to enjoy something for more than 10 minutes, but the haldol has totally killed my enjoyment. Not to mention I’m so slow now that I would just confuse myself and feel really dumb because I used to be so good.
Ugh. I ■■■■■■■ hate these meds, they ask such a high price for sanity.
