Gaining so much weight

My family thinks it’s because I eat so much when I don’t. It sucks.

Ugh, i can totally relate. Ive gained so much weight over the past few months, about 40 lbs. I found out about 2 weeks ago that my prolactin level is really elevated, which can cause weight gain. I see an endo in 6 weeks, so we’ll see what he says about it.

Me too. Glad I have holiday from wrk next week. I can try to control my appetite better wen I’m not stressed the f out.

Clozapine and Vraylar make me want to eat constantly but I’ve managed to lose weight by using Saxenda and measuring/weighing my food portions and tracking what I eat.

I read that all aps cause weight gain. I take a high dose of zyprexa which makes it hard to lose weight.

Respiradone was the worse— thought appetite increase was a joke. Overtime I put in the weight at least I got off of it once I started lactating

Phentermine(don’t recommend it ) but it did help me decrease my appetite and so I try to focus on other things to fill my day than food

Sorry, but if you gain weight is because u eat so much. Try to take control over it. You can do it.

Yeah when I was still riding my bike for many miles, swimming, walking, bowling, playing tennis, and mini golf my weight rose from 170 to 280 pounds over a period of 15 years. Sometimes I’d knock it back a little but it always rose again. Since then I have added another 82 pounds.

Ugh I feel the same but my family understands it’s mostly not my fault… I still get yelled at about sweets by my mom

I gained 60 lbs. in 120 days on Zyprexa. I craved sugar. I wanted to sleep a lot. Everyone was craving sugar at the hospital I was in. Any time they put out the sugar shaker people would be saying, “Gimme’ da’ suga” I checked one time, and I was third from the worst about using a lot of sugar. To be fair, I have craved sugar all my life, and I always consumed large amounts of it. I’ve been consuming more sugar than ever recently, but I haven’t gained weight. I think it is because of all the green tea I’m drinking. It really puts my kidneys into overdrive. I might have done more damage to myself with the sugar than I thought.

I’ve gained a little weight since being on Abilify with invega. I better be careful. Being on two antipsychotics
