The only reason the inlaws want me better is so I do everything they tell me to do. I get paid 20 dollars a week to care for their animals. I got it early this week. I handed it to my partner for a new heat mat for my Pac man frog jasper. The old one stopped working. My mother in law won’t let my partner buy one citing that they draw too much electricity.
Its 8 watts, they run bearded dragon lights, two fish tanks that is about 4 filters lights and air pumps.
I’m upset with my parents, they deny the abuse I went through as a kid ever happened.
I’d just tell you to move with your partner to a place where the two of you can live your own lives.
Your in-laws probably won’t change. Neither will your parents.
Take the steps to be independent and I think it will relieve a lot of unnecessary pressure.
You can only really separate from the negativity, I’ve found. I had to leave home to get better somewhat (granted, new home number 2 may have been the catalyst for my psychosis developing faster).
Mate. Your in between a rock and a hard place. You are never going to win in the place you are. Negotiate to your benefit and hold them accountable! I know your Mrs probably loves living with her family but it’s hard on you my friend! Pets are hard work.
I’d agree. Do what you need to do but your own place would be good…they would miss you like hell then!

i also talked to my mom today against my partner’s wishes. she knows they bring me down a lot but i wanted them to know that i love them and that i have been having a hard time with my meds. i don’t think they believed me though.
my doctor said to stop taking the haldol right away because i told the nurse that i was having problems with one of the voices devon was telling me to hurt myself and that even though i won’t do it, its still very overwhelming. i have an appointment on wednesday to see the doctor again.
