Honey you may want to consider taking that abilify in the morning. I found it to be a little energizing. But go with whatever your pdoc said. Good luck.

Does it help with depression an anxiety at all I take Zoloft. You think I may take less Zoloft eventually. Dr approval of course.

200 mg but Dr says in the summer I can drop a bit.
Oh yea that’s a lot of Zoloft. I would hope you would get to feeling better enough to drop that down a bit. I take 150 mg and that’s about as high as I think I can go without danger of hypomania because I have sza bipolar type.
Just give it some time and see how you’re feeling and I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Abilify and Zoloft sounds like a good combo though. So you also take a mood stabilizer? I have to or I will go hypomanic or more dangerous I will get a mixed state episode. Not fun.

We were messaging about TD and lip trembling the other day. I stopped my gabipentin for my sore hip and the trembling stopped. But a scare good enough to ask for a new generation med. Also if I can get the stiffness to go away. Think my hip will feel better.

Oh good! I’m glad the trembling stopped. That’s scary ■■■■. My td is almost non-existent right now. Just a little lip pursing when I’m tired or sick. I barely notice it and my husband says he barely notices it too. But I got td from abilify so you just never know. But you know what to watch for so you’ll be all good.

I sleep when I start abilify. That’s why I started taking it at night. Now I taje it morning because doesn’t affect my sleep.

Abilify was his second choice. The first choice was $1100 a month and insurance wouldn’t pay anything.

Although Haldol is more notorious for causing muscle rigidity than Abilify, the switch might not provide much relief from this adverse effect. Abilify can cause EPSs, too. Abilify is as likely to cause sedation and drowsiness as it is to cause insomnia. I cannot predict the predominant effect which may prevail if you take it. Akathisia may result from Abilify as well.

I take 4 mg haldol
It’s known for akithesia early but that passed for me after a couple of days. It’s worth a try. It’s more modern than the haldol and may have a better side effect profile for you!

Sounds like you don’t think much be about abilify
It’s pretty pathetic that these aps haven’t improved over the last 60 years .I mean haldol is a really old drug and it seems as good as any From what I’m hearing
I actually got an increase in physical strength from Abilify. It got me a little too energized, though. They eventually had to take me off it.
