No one is on disablity here lol?
Impoverished people can get free insurance through Medicaid. But my husband and I are both disabled and we don’t qualify for Medicaid. We have to pay for Medicare insurance. And with Medicare we have lots of copays etc so it’s not free
Does it cover dentists? How much % do they pay?
I am on disability, but
I don’t have such services.
The other day i went
to the dentist for a filling.
I payed 30 euros
Without insurance? Thats extremely cheap, here its in the 3 figures.
It depends on the plan. Most plans cover cleaning twice a year, 4 bitewing xrays per year, and some towards fillings, but not anything else
Without insurance, yes.
I didn’t expect it to be so cheap
I should go fix my teeths in Greece.
Yes. Haha. You’re in Canada, right?
Yea, its expensive here, my braces cost my parentts 8000$.
My braces here costed 3000euros, i think.
I don’t remember. Maybe less
I got my teeth scraped and it cost 200 bucks in canada. Not even a cleaning just scraping plaque lol. But I go every 3 to 5 years now. Before that I waited 9 years
Is there dental insurance in Canada for those who are on disability? Don’t you have dental insurance through your work?
Not that I am aware of. Yeah I’ll get dental in a few weeks cuz my probation will be finished.
First time I’ve had benefits since I was 25
I used to through AISH in Alberta, but it was minimal. You could have a root canal, but no crown unless you found the money yourself. My private insurance pays for a private room, disability won’t, etc. Possible that your disability in Quebec is more comprehensive.
People on benefits in the UK get free dental treatment. And its the same dental treatment paying people get.
I am now on disability but dental care isn’t free here for me.
Seriously ? I had no idea. I’m on pip I thought I have to pay.
I think it might be based on ESA or jobseekers rather than PIP
