It seems so random and I don’t know what triggers it. Anyone have any idea what occurs to log you out? There has to be some cause, but darned if I know what the criteria for a logout on this forum is.
I have in the past left and went to sleep and come back on forum and still logged in so I would not think it would have anything to do with inactivity.
I log in once, and I remain logged in until I click the logout button. I usually just stay logged in and visit the site whenever I want.
When you log in a session cookie is set on your device and as long as that cookie is there you remain logged in, if you delete that cookie you would automatically be logged out.
Are you deleting cookies? Or do you have any software on your computer that could be deleting that cookie? Are you running any computer optimization software that could be deleting your login cookie?
Thanks for the thoughtful response @Headspark . I recently download the utorrent web utility. I noticed it asked me several times if I wanted to install other software with it. I’m not sure I clicked the appropriate response all times, so there may be some software that came with that that is having an affect on cookies? I’m not sure, but yes, the issue started around the time I downloaded now that I think of it.
Nothing yet. Just recently someone mentioned using it and I thought it might be nice to have on hand if I ever wanted to download. I haven’t really looked yet though.
Because since Windows 10, Microsoft as well as the majority of ISPs (Internet Service Providers) have drastically reduced the available torrent sites found on the Internet. Even the major Linux Distributions no longer offer BitTorrent software to download movies, music and photos.
Windows XP, Vista, 7 & 8 were known to allow users to download anything they wanted but since Windows 10. illegal downloads have ceased.
I know that during the Windows 98, 2000 and XP era of Microsoft operating systems that Bill Gates encouraged mp3 music pirating and movie downloads. However, business firms were denied this ability hence Windows NT Server, 2000 Server etc… I would believe that computer industry which includes the advice from Bill Gates that downloads of mp3s & movies no longer be allowed since the music & movie industry were losing money and would sue Microsoft and ISPs for letting this happen.
i dont like illegal downloaders stealing stuff its not fair & the worst is the when someone offers a free service and asks for the price of a coffee i think that is such a nice way to be but how many people will be like fk that but then i dont like puting my bank details online as well
