Went to the pub. But someone was looking through the window. Trigger thoughts of undercover agents led to very unpleasant sensations. Ate my chips so fast I got heartburn then got the feck out of dodge.
I went to the bar on my birthday and I thought people were talking about me. I haven’t been back since.
Pubs, bars and city squares are like concentration camps for me.
I am not going back either. I keep going thinking it will get better but it doesn’t. Perhaps coffee with support worker but not pubs on my own.
I still applaud you for trying, even though it didn’t go well. Hopefully coffee with your support worker will be easier. I always find it easier to socialize if I’m already friendly with at least one other person there.
It’s not a failure, buddy. It just didn’t go as planned.
Shake it off. Get back in the saddle when you’re ready.

Glad you made it home safe. I think going with someone does sound like a better plan. Let us know how your next outing goes.
Yeah smart move @anon20613941.
A pub doesn’t seem like the ideal place to hang out in.
It’s good that you came home safely, @anon20613941 . But you can try it next time with the company of a friend. I like the pubs with music performance. But I usually go with my husband.
Mate. No shame in trying. I think you did really well. I’d be scared in one of those English pubs!!!
Bad jokes aside. It’s important to try and get out there and about. Maybye try a coffee shop next. Might give you better vibes and it’s all experience. Sorry you had a bad one but well done for trying!
Nightclubs and bars trigger my paranoia
They are a no go it’s not worth it
Yes coffee shops are better
Try alternative situations
Well done for trying jimbob. I couldn’t handle a pub like that. I usually just hang out in groups with people like us in safe spaces. Hats off to you for doing that, that must have taken a lot.
