Well I was given a med to lower my pulse. It was 122. Anyone here have issues with racing pulse?
I had tachycardia on several different APs, but it resolved when i went off the clozapine and onto Zyprexa. I couldn’t take a beta blocker (which helps lower heart rate) cuz my blood pressure was too low.

She gave me metoprolol 25mg. I was curious if the hot weather played a part. Heat can cause rapid pulse and your heart has to pump to keep up. I’m scared that it’ll get worse. Any thoughts?
I’m obviously not a doctor but metoprolol is a beta blocker and very good for tachycardia. I think you’ll see a rapid improvement with this medication. As for the heat, if you just stay hydrated and indoors when it’s really hot you should be okay.

Thanks. I can’t remember when I stopped taking it. I check my pulse now before bed. What’s weird is my BP is pretty normal.
