Anyone here take metoprolol?

My family doctor prescribed it for me. I’m scared.

Why are you scared?
I took propranolol for a while, which is a medicine in the same class. It helped keep my heart rate in check.

Idk. I’m sure I’ll be okay. My doc prescribed it for my heart rate. It was 130 bpm.

Yes I take it. It is supposed to control my heartbeat while on Clozapine.:panda_face::panda_face:

How’s clozapine been going for you?

It helps with positive symptoms. No voices and such. Still not a fan of all the blood work though. :tiger::tiger::tiger:

I also take meds for my heart rate. I’m sure it’ll be a good med for you.

I only took clozapine for a week. Messed with my bp. Good to hear it’s helping you. Yeah I hated going for blood work.

My pulse was 114 five mins ago.

Yes I take metoprolol @roxanna
Don’t be scared, it’s a good med.

It controls my fast heart rate and takes care of my blood pressure.

Can you exercise while taking the med?

Yeah before I got the BP meds my resting pulse rate was 120 beats a minute.

Yes you can do light exercises like walking.

Thanks y’all.

You can even do heavy exercises but your heart won’t race as much so you may not get the full benefits of a cardio workout.

But yes you can still excercise.

You will still get benefits.

I’m going to start walking everyday. Get out of apartment. Especially when it’s sunny. I found some sweetners. Monk fruit etc

Took first pill this am. A little drowsy.

Yeah you may feel a bit drowsy when you first start taking it but it should go away in a few days as you get used to it.
