It seems that a lot of my transatlantic brethren only buy branded meds. Here in the uk it is almost always generic. I honestly don’t think there is a difference but I don’t have much experience.
Are the generic meds not as good?

I buy generic. Idk the difference
I started off my medication journey with brand and continue to buy brand.
Some Generics are fine, others are of poor quality.
Out of 8 medications I’ve been on I think I’ve one only been on 1 generic and that was haloperidol, I was only on it a few weeks. I can’t see there being a difference.
I buy generic. Most insurance companies insist on it if a generic option is available.
generic for the most part, due to low-income health care not wanting to buy the good stuff (if brand stuff is even better than generic, who knows?)
Abilify I get as the brand name, even though the generic is available now in the states (Abilify had a really long run hiding their formula and charging over 700 dollars a month for a month’s supply).
I expected to be put on the generic, but they didn’t change my rx. I think maybe the city pdocs are afraid to try anything else, since I’ve been pretty stable and out of the hospital for nearly a decade.
upset that pharm companies overcharge by thousands of percent, like it cost you 70 cents for the month supply but someone pays 700 dollars? I get that there’s the overhead costs, but you’d think that would be covered after a few months of making someone pay 700 dollars…why did the price remain so high for so many years?
Insurance sends generics except for Latuda, no generics available yet. They were sending me real Lunesta for a while but now I get the generic.
I use brand name but only for latuda
