İf you use generic medication do you feel any difference from original one?

Nope I used to take brand name abilify but switched to generic and it didn’t make much a difference for me.

On quetiapine (genetic seroquel). Works fine

I use the generics too for the ap (Zyprexa), but my Depakote is the original…
I am not sure, there’s a difference. I think the generic works as well  .

generic, because my insurance says so

I’ve wondered though when pharmacy says this month’s pill look different

because it’s a different manufacturer.

I think my invega is brand name. So expensive$$$$. Some generics of Klonopin don’t work the same

Been on both types but the generic works just fine

My insurance will only pay for generic. I blissfully don’t know the difference.
I noted once that hospitals use better drugs than you can get at home - like a trick to keep us going back. I tried to get my prescription from the same company as the hospital used and my pharmacist said it was not available to me. Everyone has to have gimmick. :disappointed_relieved:

All my meds are generic except for rexulti. I hope when that goes generic I can stay on the brand name since it works very well.

The invega sustenna im on is still a brand only highly expensive drug. Johnson and Johnson still battling it out in court to stop generics from coming out. At least last time I checked

Generic except concerta

My psych meds are generic.

I use brand name Concerta, Ritalin and Abilify.

Yes there is a difference - contrary to what your “friendly” government would like you to believe. The brand requires strict proportions of actual drug in formulation where generic can vary up to 20% depending on where it was manufactured. The same medicine at two different drug stores could vary up to 40%, and this could make a big difference.

I take generic Risperidone. Here in Germany we only get generics once they’re available I think.

I told this to a nurse when in the hospital. She was giving a speech on generic vs brand. She asked me to leave the room.

I’ve noticed differences, mostly insignificant ones, between generic MANUFACTURERS. I’m not taking brand name scripts. My mcare d plan will only cover generics unless it’s deemed medically necessary to get the brand name.

The copays are SO HIGH, I couldn’t afford them.
