Absolutly no pain after injection of Clopixol. This depo is.my life insurance when I start playing around with my pills.
Appreciate your reply @columbus, thank you
I prefer the arm over the butt you get used to it its really nothing after you have your first or second one you will think nothing of it
Thanks for your reply @Rainstorm, much appreciated
It depends on the skill of the person administering it imo. Some people really don’t get it whilst others do it in a way that you hardly noticed it
Depends on the med invega hurt like hell I didn’t notice any pain on abilify or haldol hence why I gave the pain scale a 2 if it were the one I’m taking now I don’t even feel it go in or out it’s painless
Thank you for your replies @MisterApple @AwesomeFisherman, they are much appreciated
I put 3. It stings a bit going in and hurts a bit the day after. I have it in the arm. It works well for me cause im not good at taking tablets.
Thank you for your reply @Qwerty, appreciate it
I hate the fact that people tell me. The reason you are on injection is because you didnt take your pills before. But f them. I think injection is better than pills. Invega sucked any way. Ive had one injection of abilify and i love it. Its so smooth. No side effects. Its the extra pills of abilify im taking that are messing me up Just waiting for sex to improve. I really hope it does over time. People on here have said invega takes a long time to recover from. This injection is good though. Hope youre not taking invega injection. Last night i was understanding my girlfriend. It was the greatest feeling to the world. Please brain. Fix the corruption. Abilify injection is good. I rather have injection than pills
Does the injection hurt?
In the gluteal muscle it does not. When I had it the arm yes it did sometimes.
Are side effects different/more pronounced for you?
I have not taken the tablet form of Invega, so I cant compare.
What are the pros/cons of the injection for you?
The injection is free for me in the public health system and it gives the doctors confidence because they know I am not skipping my meds
Thank you @Garbled and @mangojuice for your replies, they are very helpful
Tell those.people that most of us with this devastating illness are on pills beside of the depot as well. In my 30 years of illness not one.day has passed whrre I didn’t take pills aswell.
I’m on a 3 month depot. I have it in the buttock. It stings about as much and about as frequently as having a 14 day/monthly depot. That’s infrequently, and not very much.
Thanks for your reply @firemonkey, it’s much appreciated
So are you going on the depot now? Has all these replies convinced you?
Um, still thinking about it.
The pain from the injection has me on the fence.
Its not painful @Schztuna its not A big deal. But invega i think is just an icrement worse
Thanks @Garbled— I would still be taking Abilify, just the injection.
Out of 32 voters, 70% have said 1 or less , in other words no pain
