May I have your experience please on Flupentixol ? my doctor put me on this iv and I’m afraid to take it , I’ve been taking so many medication !
I’ve never taken it, so I looked it up. It’s related to thiothixene. You might find someone who has taken that a little easier
Its like haldol is working.
Old drug, depot, can cause a TD.

I am on flupenthixol depot. Have been for 10 years. Has been a great med for me - literal lifesaver.
It is an older med. as a very general and in exact rule the old, typical, meds are very strong but can be harder to tolerate.
If you find a typical that helps with few side effects it can be very, very effective

I’m om fluanxols sister drug clopixol. I’ve had it for nearly a quarter of a century. Precisely since 1997. Clopixol is a very good meds for the positive. It’s said that fluanxol is less efficient for the positive but a lot better for the negatives and depression. I have had some friends who have tried both clopixol and fluanxol and they all said that fluanxol has a lot less side effect than clopixol. They all said that the stiffness of the limbs and the weigh gain was a lot less severe than the clopixol.
At the moment I’m on
500 mg clopixol every 3 week
160 mg geodon by mouth
400 mg seroquel by mouth
I’m on Flupentixol (Fluanxol) every 15 days and it’s the only AP that I take.
It’s make me a little tired But very good at controlling psychotic symptoms.
keep in mind that it may cause extrapyramidal side effecs that reach to its maximum level after about 5 days of injection but I prefer to not take bipriden because bipriden make you unable to interact with world correctly.

I’ve been on the cosin of Depixol(fluanxol) Clopixol depo(zuclopenthixol) for 26 year plus biperden 2 x dayly for 28 years. I call my depo for my happy injection because that it’s saved my life. Just continue to receive your depot then you’ll stay in a happy stable mind the rest of your life.
