Are you having one this year? (Just had my first ever one!)

I’m frightened but yes I’ll probably get a flu vaccine - maybe.

I hear that you can get the flu sometimes off of the vaccine.

I got mine September 1st, the first day they were available. With Covid19, it’s especially important to get a flu shot this year.

I don’t want a flu shot.
I’m not in any way anti vaxx and I don’t buy in to all those “vaccines cause brain damage” fads.

But…
My mother had a flu shot once and shortly after came down with some mysterious infection like ailment that triggered Chronic fatigue in her, and it took her almost 7 years to recover to the point of regaining a somewhat normal level of functioning.
For the first year she would get slowly out of bed in the morning to go pee, then get so tired from going to the bathroom she needed a nap. No spoons whatsoever, to put it that way.

And I can’t help but think… What if those genes lay dormant in me? I’m not risking it.

I got mine done at local chemist so I don’t have to worry now they had a shortage at my surgery

I got mine today, thanks for the reminder.

I have to get mine this year as I’m pregnant. Normally I don’t get it.

I had mine last year. I was sick back in 2016 with the flu.

I got mine a month ago at the VA. Been feeling fine.
