I was going through my summer clothes today and I could not find my jeans and so I rode to my local flea market and purchased used jeans for four (4) €. It was a good deal, I checked one local retailer and they were selling their jeans for 40 €. So I saved 36 € and I can use this money in my grocery shopping. The flea market is a religious operation and their profits go to their missions in different places of the world. So this was an extra bonus.
That’s a great deal! I really enjoy going to thrift stores, second-hand stores, and yard sales. It’s exciting to find great deals on stuff.
That is a really good idea. We dont have flea markets where i am. We have carboot sales but not near us
I love thrift shopping - good for the wallet and the environment.
I buy my clothes through Vinted.
That’s great. I’m glad you found something you liked. We only have second-hand clothing here right now. Well, no, we have a pharmacy that has leggings, socks and underwear. The rest of the clothing that is available is through the county closet, churches or second-hand shops. We have no flea market. And as a funny side note, because we don’t have a long enough warm season we don’t have fleas here really, they can’t get a life cycle going.
Most people go to the city to get their clothes, some online. I shop online.
Most my clothes come from Charity shops. Lots of good things to buy!
My weight has gone up a lot, so instead of buying new I have done that for a fraction of the price
That looks like a thrift store. Flea markets in the US are often outdoor stalls. Sometimes in large buildings.
Same here up north.
Looks like a place I went to a few times… I’m sure it’s not the same place though
In pics where there are tables, these are indoor flea markets. People can rent a table and then bring their own goods to sell these. A typical weekly table rent is 20€.
Oh, ok. It’s very clean and organized for a flea market.
The place looks great!
I’m glad you found something for little money @mjseu
Where I went it was a thrift store so definitely not the same place it looks good though really glad you found cheap clothes
We don’t have flea markets here, really. They are called community garage, yard, or thrift sales. The word “flea” has negative connotations and is avoided.
We have 13 flea markets or other old items selling places here in my little town. Just earlier in this year one big flea market located to one place closer to the center of the town. However, their activities are not doing so well and they are shutting down their operations in the end of this month due to high operating costs. In summers we have also a few outdoor flea markets.
Nice deals man!!
We have flea markets during the warmer months in my city but they’re called “swap meets” and they’re typically outside. I think I’ve also heard them called flea markets though.
Montezuma what city in are you in
Prefer not to say my friend, but I live in the heart of the Midwest, USA.
